Thrust roller bearings are a type of rotary bearing designed primarily to support high axial (thrust) loads with high rigidity and are used extensively in heavy-duty machinery. Unlike radial bearings, which handle forces perpendicular to the shaft, thrust bearings manage forces parallel to the shaft's axis.
