Speed & Motion Sensors

Speed and motion sensors are the devices that give machines a sense of movement. They tell the machine how fast it is going and in what direction.

• Tracks Speed (RPM): They count how fast a motor or wheel is spinning (Revolutions Per Minute, or RPM).
• Checks Direction: They report if a part is moving forwards, backward, up, or down.
• Ensures Safety and Function: A car uses these sensors to know if the wheels are locking up during braking (ABS system). An automated conveyor uses them to make sure items are moving at the correct, consistent speed.
• Keeps Things Synchronized: The machine's "brain" uses this data to ensure all moving parts are perfectly timed with each other.
In short, a speed and motion sensor is the machine's speedometer and compass, providing essential feedback about how things are moving in real-time.
