Flange Couplings

A flange coupling is a robust mechanical device used to connect two shafts or pipes end-to-end to transmit torque and power. • Protected Type: The nuts and bolts are enclosed by a protective rim or flange to prevent accidental contact and enhance worker safety.
• Marine Type: The flanges are forged as an integral part of the shafts themselves and use tapered, headless bolts for a strong, compact connection suited for harsh, corrosive marine environments.
• Flexible Flange Coupling: While most are rigid, flexible variations use materials like rubber to accommodate slight misalignments and absorb shock and vibrations.
